Bodog Review
Bodog Review Details
Background:
Bodog was founded in 1995, and is located in San Jose, Costa Rica. They claim to be the most respected brand in the business, and pride themselves on offering a variety of betting options that caters to everyone. They offer unlimited free payouts, valuable bonuses, and a top-notch customer service department ready to answer to all questions. Bodog likes to keep its clientele well informed of the on going’s in the sports industry, so they’ve compiled a large docket of newsletters to help bettor their customers understanding. The Bodog girl section is always a great sight for sore eyes after a trying day gambling.
Site Information:
The main page of the website was separated nicely with all the pertinent sportsbook information off to the left hand side. The account login box is right at the upper left hand side of the screen with other important account managers right below. The phone number and customer service e-mail address are right across the screen on the upper right hand side of the page. Their current live lines section is available on the left hand side of the screen right below the account login box. It’s a very user-friendly main page, and navigating throughout was a piece of cake.
Software:
This is where the site takes a nosedive. Bodog utilizes a system quite unlike any seen before, and it takes awhile to get used to. There’s a floating box with their wager type options that slows the process of getting wagers in quickly, and it freezes up the screen occasionally. Not being able to select from a number of different sports at one time is awful. Instead, you can either wager immediately on a single play, or add it to your open bets screen. From there, you checkmark each selection according to what type of wager you’d like to make. It will be incredibly confusing at first, and then extremely annoying once you get the hang of it. Major thumbs down in that department. A huge plus was the fact that Bodog actually keeps a recap of each game once its been played for the game, and the second half allowing you easy access to see what actually happened right away with your wagers. The signup process was a pleasure and can be done via the Internet, or over the phone.
Lines/Juice:
Bodog institutes the –110 juice policy on all straight bets, and a 10-cent line for baseball that progresses with the larger chalks. They don’t offer overnight lines, and take a lot of time in posting college totals or lines to added NCAA Basketball games. Their lines didn’t lean either way in terms of being a dog/favorite book, but they do play with the juice on games getting a lot of action.
